U13/U15 World Series of Lacrosse Results (Brown University)

The Vermont U15s certainly showed up for this first year tournament, winning all five preliminary games, and then reloading in the championship game to beat a stacked Massachusetts Vikings team!  In a tightly contested match in the first half, the team exploded in the second half at the offensive end of the field and shut the door defensively.  Final score in the championship game was 10-5.

The Vermont U13s also enjoyed a great weekend of lacrosse, and although their record was 1-3, they lost a heartbreaking last game against the Power Penguins from Massachusetts in overtime. The Penguins tied the score with just 4 seconds left to play to force overtime, and then pushed one past the defense early in overtime to take a 6-5 win.

In addition to surviving the heat during the weekend, the U15s took in some beach time while the U13s checked out the Boston Cannons game at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge.  The World Series of Lacrosse is looking to develop into a district to regional to national tournament for youth programs, and it was great to be a part of it in the inaugural season.
