US Lax Certification

The NVTYLL Board of Directors, in conjunction with the VT Chapter of US Lacrosse, has determined that each team within each member organization for the spring 2010 season to either:

1) Have at least one coach at any level (U15, U13, or U11) that is US Lacrosse Level 1 certified by the spring 2010 season;

OR

2) Have all coaches at levels U13 and U15 take the Level 1 on-line course.  Note that US Lacrosse is offering free access to the On-line Level 1 course in 2010.

See  http://www.uslacrosse.org/cep/certification.phtml for more information on how to receive Level 1 certification.
Additionally, the NVTYLL can provide financial assistance for any coach interested in becoming Level 1 certified.  Please contact Matt Gleason (president@nvtyll.com) for more information.

Finally, please note that US Lacrosse is working on establishing a grandfather clause for individuals who have a certain number of years playing the game to bypass the Level 1 Coaches Clinic, and also will accept PCA Double Goal Coach Workshop credit through another organization as long as proof of completion can be provided.

Please see the attached document on how to become Level 1 certified!
